Bride’s Information

  1. 1.We use only the very best, very strongest stainless steel cake support system available on the market today in our wedding cakes to ensure that your cake will stand up level and beautiful throughout  the delivery and your reception.

  1. 2.Our serving sizes are 1” wide  x 2” deep  x 4” tall

  1. 3.Delivery Time: We keep your cake refrigerated until delivery time and typically deliver the cake 1 hour prior to your event so that it will remain as fresh as possible and the time sitting in the room unattended will be minimized. But this may vary depending on the weather, as well as whether your cake is inside or outside, in the sun, etc. We will do our best to accommodate your florist. Please note that the cake can be only guaranteed for up to four hours as all our ingredients are natural and we use real butter. Delivering no more than 1 hour prior to your event also helps reduce the chances of anyone bothering or accidently harming your cake in between the time we deliver and your reception begins.

  2. 4.Return Items: A list of parts to be returned will be provided at the time of delivery.  The clean cake parts are due back  Monday following the wedding unless otherwise specified.  Bags and boxes will be provided for specialty stands and plateaus.  All items must be returned in the condition in which they were received. Please have person returning items call ahead and confirm a time with us to return the equipment.

  3. 5.Cake Boxes: A cake box for leftovers will be left beneath the cake table. If you have

requested with us to save the top tier a second box will be left for your top tier also.

  1. 6.Cake Table: All fabric, lights, flowers, greenery, or anything else on or around the cake for

decorating purposes is the responsibility of the bride/groom, or their decorator and

florist.  Keep in mind that a white cake will blend into a white table cloth.  Ask your florist

to set greenery or flowers around the base to help your cake stand out.  Also a cake

base will help add elegance to your cake.

Cake Table Tips

Please have a sturdy table already set up with the appropriate covering prior to delivery time stated on the contract. Cakes are heavy and must be kept level. Be careful that the table is not too large as it makes it hard to reach for placement and later cutting.

It is also good to think about the placement of the table so it can be enjoyed by all and not near anything unsightly (garbage cans, doors to restrooms, etc.) or in direct sunlight, near air ducts, audio speakers, doors, a lit fireplace, under trees where "debris" may fall on the cake.

Tablecloths look much better pressed in your once-of-a-lifetime pictures. Cake stands, greenery, table runners, twinkle lights or votives also make a beautiful presentation.

  1. 7.Cutting and serving:

Katiebelle’s offers cake cutting service and plating for an additional fee, (Your caterer still serves).

For small events where you wish to cut the cake yourself Here is an excellent link to demonstrate an easy way to cut your cake:

I find the best advice is to cut the cake earlier than later. For example: The bride and groom come into the reception, have their first dance and then the bite of cake with pictures then open the buffet or have the meal served.  While you and your guests are enjoying the meal the cake cutting staff can cut and plate the cake to serve it as your guests are finishing dinner. After all, the cake is the dessert and all your guests will be able to have their expected piece of cake.

8. Ribbon: If you have chosen a design with real ribbon please know that the bride is responsible for purchasing all non-edible items she wants to decorate her cake.  Once we know the size and shape of your cakes, I will let you know the amount of

ribbon to purchase.  (It is best to avoid wired ribbon, sheer ribbon, and paper like

ribbon.)
